ROLLING GREEN GC BECOMES ACCESSIBLE TO ALL
Announcing Rolling Green Golf Club as our new host course for all community adults, juniors and Veterans adaptive golf programs, clinics, leagues, tournaments, and events. Now with single rider adaptive golf cars, owned by AGFA, on Rolling Green property, they invite everyone with an accessibility need to come experience the great game of golf.

The UNITED STATES CONGRESS, and the VETERANS AFFAIRS COMMITTEE, has responded to the AMERICAN VETERANS ADAPTIVE GOLF program. The program initiated last year with the Tampa Veterans Hospital and top polytrauma treatment center, has gained recognition as the model program for the rehabilitation and community re-entry process at VA and Military Hospitals across the nation.

Armed Forces Day 2008 at Rolling Green Golf Club was the official "tee-off" for the Veterans Golf League held every Monday with FREE golf instruction at 4:45pm and GOLF at 5:30pm. Cost for 9 holes w/cart is only $12.00!

ADAPTIVE GOLF FOUNDATION ANNOUNCES DIRECTOR
PGA Member, David Windsor has been elected as the National Adaptive Golf Foundation of America Director. The mission of AGFA, originally founded by National Amputee Champion Sonny Ackerman, is to make golf available to everyone by conducting 2-day adaptive golf workshops to develop new adaptive golf chapters and continue programs.

ROTARY CAMP FLORIDA IN FULL SWING
The Rotary Camp Florida, (located in Brandon) which welcomes statewide organizations and groups of disabled juniors and young adults, has added adaptive golf for all campers! With specialized clubs and equipment, campers can now swing thru the newly designed 3-hole golf course between the lakes!
Florida Adaptive Golf, Inc. and the USGA (United States Golf Association)! Embracing our mission of enhancing the lives of persons with disabilities to improve their physical and personal well-being, the USGA has awarded us a one-year matching grant up to $50,000.00 to fund our 2007 programs. This matching grant means we must show financial contributions from local companies, individuals, and/or other organizations to receive any matching USGA funds in order to successfully launch our many planned adaptive golf programs. Your support is greatly needed and appreciated!
HEALTHSOUTH Rehabilitation Hospital of Sarasota sponsored a "Community Adaptive Golf Workshop" in conjunction with Florida Adaptive Golf, Inc. on September 19th at Bobby Jones Golf Complex. FREE to anyone with a physical disability living in the surrounding communities, the FLAG instructors, volunteers, and therapists provided adaptive golf instruction and education to all participants. Thank you to everyone who helped make this event such a great experience for all!
Florida Adaptive Golf moves to Bobby Jones Golf Complex!
After six successful seasons of conducting weekly programs, community clinics and workshops at Foxfire GC in Sarasota, FL, The Florida Adaptive Golf program will now operate at Bobby Jones Golf Complex. (Foxfire Golf Club was sold on July 10, 2006 and closed all golf operations to develop real estate.)
David Windsor, PGA of America Member, is voted the recipient of The "Junior Golf Leader" award for the entire North Florida PGA Section and is nominated for the national award. Congratulations to David!
